With nearly 40 years' experience in engineering, operations management, software development and entrepreneurship, Steve is the ideal leader of a company at the forefront of revolutionizing the manufacturing industry.

Prior to co-founding Protocase, he oversaw operations at several engineering firms, including Bras d'Or Technologies, MRSI and Internav.

With the company riding the waves of success, Steve admits to taking the occasional day off to enjoy a round of golf.

Background & Journey

Raised by science teacher parents, Doug's fascination with technology and his aptitude for all things mechanical were evident at an early age. In high school, he played with laser beams while fellow physics students poured over textbooks.

As an entrepreneur and innovator, he established Advanced Glazings Ltd, a developer of Solera® translucent glazing units, before co-founding Protocase and 45Drives.

Driven by an incurable need to move forward, Doug balances work with his longtime passion for sailing.

Background & Leadership

When Mike joined the Protocase team after retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, he brought along an impressive portfolio of transferrable skills developed over a 13-year career as a naval logistics and supply technician.

Starting as a production supervisor with no manufacturing experience, it soon became evident that Mike had the skillset, drive and aptitude to be a dynamic leader.

As company COO, he plays an influential role in keeping operations running smoothly.
