We lead the industry as custom manufacturer of sheet metal and CNC machined enclosures, parts and panels, with a mission of helping engineers, researchers and innovators keep their projects on track and meet their deadlines.

But, we never pass up an opportunity to celebrate Halloween.

In the past several years, we’ve put our spin on Halloween with a special ProtoPumpkin, using aspects of our quick-turn custom manufacturing.

With Halloween right around the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to show off our #ProtoPumpkins from past years. Check them out below!

Sheet Metal Pumpkin

This Safety-Orange powdercoated sheet-metal pumpkin is one of our favorites. The welding that went into making this pumpkin — perfection! Check out the video below to see how we made this cool custom sheet-metal pumpkin.

CNC Milling a Real Pumpkin

In 2018, marketing had a great idea — we would mill a real pumpkin for Halloween! Well, we got the video, but it did not come without a giant mess. #WorthIt

Check out the video below to see this awesome milling experience – never to be repeated again!

3D Printed Pumpkin

We had CNC milled a real pumpkin in the past and created our own Safety-Orange powdercoated sheet-metal pumpkin, so in October 2019, we decided to 3D Print a pumpkin. Check out the timelapse:

CNC Milled Pumpkin

We learned our lesson from October 2018 – no more real pumpkins in the mill! So instead, in October 2020, we went with a CNC machined pumpkin. The finishing touch of laser marking really adds to the “wow” factor!

From all of us at Protocase, we hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!
